Goodbye: a new concept here on the outside
In the womb, while I was growing bits and pieces, things around me were fairly constant. (Ok, maybe I just couldn't see 'cause it was dark.) Things are different out here though.
One recurring theme through the past month has been that of goodbye. Today, it was time to bid farewell to my antipodean relatives, the Loos - Auntie Sara, Uncle Kevin, GrandAhYee, and GrandUncleEric. The boys are off to Wollongong, and the girls to KL. They'll all be having Kayu or some other Malaysian food at KLIA during the boys' transit there.
Goodbyes. Quite difficult and sad. Maybe life inside the womb would have been easier - but then I guess there's the joy of the next hello. Who knows? One day goodbyes may also give me a reason to cry other than just crying when I want MILK MILK MUMMY I WANT MILK and when my nappies are causing discomfort.
