Life on the outside is hot

Like life inside the womb, life on the outside, I've found, is not a non-stop thrill ride with a stream of action packed blog-able moments. There's still quite some waiting and chilling involved. Much of life is slo-mo. For instance, after a couple of weeks, I'm still trying to put together a smile. (Getting closer! - the midwife, Gill Bird, says most babies smile within 6 weeks.) Also, this whole vision focusing business takes some getting used to.

One reason things aren't moving at a breakneck pace is perhaps due to the heat one has to put up with here on the outside! It's been in the low 30s (C) here and today is really quite hot yet again! So on this slow day, perhaps I'm best in the mood to share a photo of me taking a cool bath. Yeah, it's so hot I've stopped bothering to cry and kick and punch while having water splashed on me. (I'm saving my screams for when lying in bed and uncomfortably hot.)
